Scotland The Roundhouse Findhorn

Design Concept
The Roundhouse is an upside-down design, with an earth-sheltered ground floor which is exposed to the south.

Main access is made via the upper floor which provides spaces for lounge, kitchen, dining, utility, together with a self contained flat with lounge, bedroom and bathroom.

Integral to the upper floor design is a 20 square metre wall of south-facing glass providing access to the 40 ton concrete inter-floor which acts as passive solar collector.

The ground floor is accessed by a curved stairway set upon one of the three spirals within the design.

A circular corridor, is naturally illuminated by light tubes, giving access to a further four bedrooms (two with en-suite), a large bathroom with double bath and wet room shower, boiler room (with garden access) and a basement storeroom.
